An actor who played in the movie hit "The 40 Year Old Virgin" is under arrest and suspected of stabbing his estranged girlfriend in San Marcos over the weekend.Authorities arrested Shelley Malil without incident at around 6:15 p.m. Monday after he arrived by train at an Oceanside rail depot. Malil, 43, was the boyfriend of a woman who was stabbed repeatedly and left in critical condition at a home in San Marcos shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday.
Malil, a Sherman Oaks resident originally from the Indian state of Kerala, had reportedly been in a relationship with the woman but it ceased recently.
Malil is facing charges of attempted murder, residential burglary and mayhem.
