UPDATE: American Flight Makes Emergency Stop

An American Airlines jet made an emergency landing this morning at Los Angeles International Airport.

Reports say smoke was detected in the cabin of AA Flight #81 prior to landing. Passengers were evacuated via inflatable chutes.

The plane was bound for Honolulu from Los Angeles. No injuries were reported.
