Actor Shelley Malil, 43, was arraigned on one count of attempted murder with premeditation and one count of personal use of a knife and inflicting great bodily injury Wednesday in the alleged stabbing of his ex-girlfriend last weekend. Malil allegedly stabbed the woman more than 20 times in her San Marcos home.Malil, who pleaded not guilty, had his bail raised to $10 million and faces life in prison if convicted.
Malil is best known for his supporting role in "The 40 Year Old Virgin." He was arrested on Monday in Oceanside as he left a train.
